GMT offers a complete range of purpose built PC workstations. These have been designed specifically to meet the needs of small business users and most popular software packages with particular emphasis on the full range of Sage software and Sage developed systems. GMT only use approved components and each system is individually built and fully tested prior to installation. We have designed and specified three models of workstation with increasing specifications to cover most business requirements.
GMT LAN-x Server Range
GMT offers a complete range of purpose built file servers. These have been designed specifically to meet the needs of small business users and most popular software packages with particular emphasis on the full range of Sage software and Sage developed systems. They offer outstanding performance, massive internal storage capacity and increased reliability.
GMT only use approved components and each system is individually built and tested prior to installation. We have designed and specified four models of server with increasing specifications to cover most business requirements.
GMT LAN-x5 (Workstation Server)
This server is ideal for a small office network that doesn't have massive amounts of network traffic or mission critical data. The server utilises an ADAPTEC Ultra 320 SCSI Controller for astounding data transfer rates and a single 73GB Fujitsu SCSI hard disk drive. The internal 250 MB ZIP drive will make an adequate backup for Small Sage Payroll and Sage Line 50 installations.
GMT LAN-x10 (Workgroup Server)
Designed for performance and enhanced data integrity. This server incorporates an Adaptec RAID Controller and 2 x 73GB Ultra 320 10,000 rpm hard disk drives. The RAID controller creates a mirror which saves data simultaneously to the two hard disc drives so in the event of a hard disk failure the system drive can be swapped to the mirrored drive with a minimal amount of downtime and no data loss.
GMT LAN-x25 (Local Area Network Server)
This server uses the technology of the LAN-x10 server with the added benefit of the a third 73 GB SCSI hard drive which acts as a spare and automatically swaps in to the system in the event of a hard disc failure eliminating any downtime. A dual redundant power supply also helps the system to keep running even if one of the server’s power supplies fails.
GMT LAN-x50 (Application Server)
This server utilises Intel’s Xeon processor architecture specifically designed for running multiple applications at the same time. The server also utilises a second processor to share the workload thus enhancing speed and performance.
